9/15: Immigration Town Hall Discussion In South Valley, Albuquerque

You are invited to an Immigration Town Hall Discussion on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the South Valley Multi-Purpose Center located at 2008 Larrazolo SW in Albuquerque (map).

The Town Hall, presented by the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association in conjunction with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund will feature Thomas A. Saenz, President and General Counsel of MALDEF, and be moderated by UNM School of Law Professor Margaret Montoya. Panelists for community dialogue will include NM Representative Antonio “Moe” Maestas, Moe Justice Law Office; David Urias, Freedman Boyd Hollander Goldberg Ives & Duncan; and Marcela Diaz, Somos un Pueblo Unido.

The event will be a community discussion regarding the recent developments in immigration law and reform, and the problems presented with state and local immigration enforcement.
