Tonight: Online DFA Night School Training on Citizen Lobbying for Health Care Reform with Dr. Dean

New_NS_Logo_largeFrom Democracy for America: DFA is hosting a free DFA Night School session on citizen lobbying at 6:30 PM Mountain time tonight, May 26, 2009. You can listen live from your computer on Blog Talk Radio at the link provided when you RSVP here.

There are more than 30,000 lobbyists working in Washington, DC right now. Corporations are spending millions to block open-access public healthcare option, cap and trade legislation and a host of other progressive priorities this year. They are organized and well funded. The only thing that stands in their way is you.

ImagesThis month DFA Night School and Gov. Howard Dean MD are teaming up to teach you how to beat them at their own game. Tonight's Night School will focus on how to set up an effective constituency meeting with your legislators. Then Dr. Dean will talk about the upcoming battle for real health care reform and which legislators we need to target to make it happen.

DFA will soon be organizing Health Care Action Meetings in districts all across the county to get folks to participate in the online training and make plans to lobby their elected officials. Stay tuned to hear about a Health Care Action Meeting in your area.
