Sweet Justice for Sale by New Mexico Environmental Law Center
Had to put a plug in for these. I couldn't resist taking advantage of an opportunity for a sweet headline. More importantly, the money raised will support a very worthy cause. You can read more about the Justice Bars and the New Mexico Environmental Law Center's fundraising effort here. To order, call 505.989.9022 or email nmelc@nmelc.org. They'll also soon be offering new flavors and online ordering.
Satisfying your sweet tooth with Justice Bars will help support the important mission of the New Mexico Environmental Law Center -- to protect New Mexico’s natural environment and communities through legal and policy advocacy and public education. The NMELC is a non-profit, public interest law firm that provides free and low-cost legal services on environmental matters throughout New Mexico. Founded in 1987, the Law Center works with clients – often individuals, neighborhood associations, environmental organizations, Tribes and Pueblos – seeking to protect the environment. The work of the Law Center is made possible by tax-deductible contributions from individuals, business, foundations and limited earned income.
The Law Center focuses on legal issues and cases having to do with the broad areas of hard rock mining, water, Native American representation and environmental justice. Recent initiatives have been related to the environmental impacts of uranium mining and milling and oil and gas drilling. Click to read about the Law Center's history. Visit the Center's website for more info. (h/t SWOPblogger)
