Help Needed to Process Bernalillo County Absentee Ballots, $9.50 Per Hour

I'm passing this message on from Robert M. Adams, Deputy County Clerk, Bernalillo County New Mexico. Please help if you can and/or forward this info to folks who might be interested in participating, regardless of political party. Absentee Board members should commit to the entire schedule, although there is some flexibility. You'll earn $9.50 an hour for your work:

In preparation of processing and tabulating a record number of absentee ballots (upwards of 80,000) in Bernalillo County, we are recruiting additional Absentee Board members. We need volunteers from both parties. This is what will be required of the Absentee Board Members:

Absentee Board Schedule

Clerk’s Office Voting Machine Warehouse
2400 Broadway, SE

Wednesday October 29: 6:00pm – 8:00pm (Training)

Thursday October 30: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Friday October 31: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Saturday November 1: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Sunday November 2: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Monday November 3: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Tuesday November 4: 7:00am – 12:00am (midnight)

Wednesday November 5: 12:01am – 3:00am; 7:00am – 10:00pm

Thursday November 6: 7:00am – 10:00pm

The work as of the Absentee Board includes – receiving and qualifying absentee ballots, removing ballots from mailing envelopes, sorting and stacking ballots for tabulation and hand tallying ballots that cannot be tabulated by the scanner. At this point, an additional 30 people from each party would really help us out.

If folks are interested, they can call Vince Facio at 468-1216 or email vfacio@bernco.gov

Thanks!
