Great meeting last night, and great idea about the "colorful" demonstration to greet Heather Wilson as she emerges from the Fair Grounds at the start of the State Fair parade.

Idea: Has the press been alerted to the theme of this demonstration? A press alert or press release could be very helpful in getting our point across, e.g., "Colorful demonstration greets Wilson -- 'Code Pink' demands Troops Out Fast, 'Caught Red-handed' charges pharmaceutical contributions, yellow ribbons call for troops to come home now."

I think we need to tell the press what we're going to tell them, tell them, and then tell them what we told them.

Not only was Lt. Gov. Denish really good last night, but it was great to get a chance to meet and hear Hector Baldaras. It's obvious he has the talent and brains for a bright political future regardless of what happens with the auditor race. He treated Ray Armijo fairly and with compassion and made it clear he started running when he though Jeff Armijo had taken himself off the ticket.
