Saturday: Lt. Gov. Denish Headlines Progressive Community Kick-Off Day of Action

America Votes and Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund are inviting New Mexico’s greater progressive community to a kick-off for the general election season with a “Day of Action” rally and activist mobilization. Lt. Governor Diane Denish, State Auditor Hector Balderas and Dr. Shadi Battah will be on hand to rev up the crowd:

So is Hector running for Lt. Guv in 2010? At a Coalition of Westside Neighborhoods Association meeting he said that he was only committed to the office of Auditor for this term only.

I hope he does. Hector would make a wonderful candidate for LG. And then Governor after Diane. He's one of the brightest and most ethical Democrats we have.

Smart, progressive, persuasive, common sense, fair. He's no ideologue but he believes in the change we need, economic justice, improving education etc.
