Last Chance to Urge Bingaman to Support Filibuster

Even ex-Republican, now Independent Senator Jim Jeffords of Vermont is supporting a filibuster against Alito:

Statement of Sen. Jim Jeffords, I-Vt. On Alito Cloture Vote January 30, 2006: I believe Judge Alito's appointment to the United States Supreme Court will shift the balance of the court for years, perhaps decades to come. I also believe that his judicial philosophy leans too far in favor of presidential powers. There is too much at stake for our country to allow this to happen. I will vote to oppose cloture on this nomination.

How can a Democrat like Senator Bingaman do less? Call him at one of his local offices or his DC number or use one of these toll-free numbers to reach him via the Senate switchboard: 888-355-3588 or 888-818-6641.

Tell him it's worth going all out to stop the extremist Alito even if we don't have the votes to filibuster. If we don't fight for what's right, how can we ever gain converts to Democratic positions?

Here's a copy of the Filisbuster Agenda the RNC keeps yanking off the web -- [ https://tinyurl.com/df3df ].

These are things they don't want discussed -- just like the Iraq WMD and the Patriot Act.

Please consider the link -- it is a proposed agenda, and a case for the filibuster. Monday isn't over -- and the RNC is afraid -- they're unresponsive to these issues. LOL

Please pass the link to your friends -- let them know there is a great case for a filibuster!

This, after that very lame committee hearing where Democrats asked such poor questions. We deserve to know more about this racist man who will be ruling on the bench for years. We need to filibuster even if it's just to get the inforamtion on the record for our kids.

There will be hell to pay for any Dem who does not support the filibuster. They think they can keep taking the Dem base for granted but those days are ending.

You're either on record doing all you can to defeat Alito or you're part of the problem

You can say that again. It's about standing up for principle regardless of whether we have the votes for filibuster or not.

It is time for the "Irrelevant Democrat's" to take over the Democratic Party of New Mexico. Richardson and Binganan are Neo-Con's that only care about their status and are using the Party to further their selfish objects. Binganan had a choice to join the Filbuster against Alito, however, Binganan sided with the Bush Regime and voted NO which is a Yes vote for Alito. It is time to Rid of Binganan in the Primary Election or Binganan should consider stepping aside and allow a REAL Democrat with Guts to Run for the Senate who will Standup for New Mexican's.
