Maddow Gets It Just Right on Choice of Warren

Ain't Rachel great? Night after night she skewers the usual suspects with just the right touch of humor and sardonic wit. I think she had it just right about the choice of Rick Warren on last night's show. See for yourself. Of course she, too, has a very personal stake in this fight for equal rights under the law. DownWithTyranny! has a excellent post about that, and Rachel's special talents.

Also check out AmericaBlog's new post on Warren and the Syria he loves. Add this to Warren's public support for the assassination of Iran's president and you've got a positive wisdom- and love-fest!

Rachel is excellent even better than Keith I think. We do have to keep up the fight. I am disappointed no other NM blogs have mentioned this story-not much solidarity here sadly.

She was outstanding in this segment, as was Gavin Newsom, especially when the latter described this an an opportunity for pressing LGBT issues with the new administration.

Warren is fat, just like Falwell. Why don't these guys have their personal appetites under control?

"Add this to Warren's public support for the assassination of Iran's president..." ...wonder if he would publically support assassinating Blagoeivich?

As a guy who could stand to lose a few pounds, I must humbly state that my lack of keeping my "personal appetites under control" has no bearing in my opinion that Mr./Rev./Rick Warren is a pin-headed (and quite-obviously endomorphic) bigot.

Also, any attempt to put glossy, excusatory lipstick on the pig that is Mr./Rev. Warren is lame and unattractive, regardless of the gender/political preference of the observer.

TnT reminds me that my fantasy of being part of a group that is, without exception, more reasoned and tolerant is, in fact, just fantasy. By all means, yes, let's have a physical fitness litmus test for all government employees. Oh, and let's be sure they agree with us (I mean you and me) in every particular on all subjects. And if they are not also blue-eyed grandchildren of immigrants, who needs 'em?

Doofus. Grow up or move to talk radio.

You name me one, one evangelical "pastor" who holds a candle to Rachel Maddow . She shines and outshines all these yahoos like Warren , and Obama in this instance .It's no wonder they're terrified of equal rights for GLBT citizens. Imagine the airwaves full of Rachel Maddows, maybe even some better than Rachel herself. Now that's a truly awesome thought. Lord ! give me the strength to go on the Rachel Maddow show . Amen to Rachel and her superb intelligence, amen to equal rights for ALL citizens, and amen to all good and peaceful protest against all forms of tyranny.
