12/7: Join SWOP Dialogue on Global Climate Crisis

From Southwest Organizing Project:
Add your voice to the global climate crisis debate. Join us in dialogue on Tuesday, December 7th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, at the SWOP office located at 211 10th Street SW in Albuquerque (map). Frito pies and beverages will be served. Please reserve interpretation service in advance at 505-247-8832.

As the United Nations convenes in Cancun this week for the next round of international talks on climate change, will the U.S. continue to block global efforts to solve the climate crisis?  How are New Mexicans affected by global warming, and what steps do we need to take?

Please join us in Connecting the Dots between New Mexico and the Global Climate Crisis created by human-caused global warming. We'll expose False Solutions pushed by powerful corporate interests and raise up the Real Solutions that protect and foster the resiliency of our communities.

Joining the discussion will be Nadine Padilla, of the Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment (MASE), which works to protect New Mexican communities from uranium development, and by Shrayas Jatkar of the Sierra Club
