is on the road again after last night's victory in the Democratic primary, where she ran unopposed. Denish and Brian Colón, who won the primary for lieutenant governor, will face a GOP ticket of Susan Martinez and John Sanchez in the November general election. Without a pause to catch their breath after primary election day, the two Dem ticket headliners will head out today to engage the electorate and launch what Denish has characterized as a "spirited" campaign for New Mexico's top spot.

The day started this morning with a Denish-Colon press conference at a small business in Albuquerque -- Route 66 Cleaners on Central SE -- emphasizing the campaign's focus on job creation. "My focus every day of this campaign is going to be on creating sustainable small business jobs in every corner of our state," Denish said, explaining why she chose this event to kick off the general election campaign.

Diane then heads down to her hometown of Hobbs, to provide remarks at the opening of the Louisiana Energy Service (LES) facilty at 1:00 PM, and to celebrate the grand opening of of Eddy County Democratic Headquarters at 609 Boyd Street in Carlsbad.

This evening, Colón will join Denish at a nominee rally at 5:30 PM at Mesilla Plaza in Dona Ana County -- home to GOP gubernatorial nominee Martinez. The two will also appear at a Democratic Unity Party in Luna County, at 7:15 PM at La Fonda Restaurant, located at 601 E. Pine Street in Deming
