Bulletin: Marty Chavez Won't Run for Another Term as Albuquerque Mayor
No details yet, but word is spreading fast that current Albuquerque Mayor Marty Chavez has decided he will not run for another term. Could there be some emerging scandal that's forcing Marty out of the race? Or is he merely tired and disheartened after so many years of fighting with the City Council, the County Commission, APS, the Legislature, the Governor and anyone else who won't bend to his will? Then again, maybe he's decided to run for Governor on the Green Party ticket or go to work for some developer. Stay tuned. We'll keep you posted as this shocking story develops.
Sorry:
APRIL FOOL!
