A friend sent me a John Kerry speech over the weekend that he had just delivered and it was a good speech. But at this point is he preaching to the choir? Who's position will change as
a result of his speech? Will any undecideds read it and be swayed?

The election is 8 weeks away and many races are still marginal. We believe the terrorism card will be played and the GOP smear campaigns will only get worse. Plus, the GOP are banking on a giant wave of last minute TV ads. IMO the time for speeches is declining and the time for action better be close at hand. Are the actions below being done in a great enough quantity to hold on to the votes we have and gather enough undecideds to win despite what the GOP has planned:

registered a voter(s)
signed an online petition
written to the newspaper or posted on a blog
put up a yard sign
canvassed voters in a precinct
made a campaign donation
distributed campaign literature
attended a political meeting or demonstration
other...

The 100actions.org site has a number of these things and I wonder if people just read and think, 'that's a good idea' but don't actually follow through. Any thoughts?
